Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications for our Pre-School from families with children aged 2 years and over.
Morning and afternoon sessions are available from your child’s second birthday.
All-day sessions are also available as well as School Day sessions which match the SPC Primary School day. School Day sessions are only available where a sibling attends SPC Primary School.
Applications must be for a minimum of three sessions per week.
Applications should be made online through the form on this site or download and complete or contact us for an application form. The application must be returned to the school together with original supporting documentation including current proof of residential address in the form of Council Tax, passport and your child’s original Birth Certificate.
Capacity & Sessions - Open for 38 weeks per year during school term time
The Pre-School can admit up to 34 children per session, as approved by Ofsted.
Session availability is subject to demand and capacity.
Late pick ups from sessions will incur late pick up fees.
There is a morning session from 7.30am until 12.30pm (with optional lunch from 12.30pm to 1pm at additional cost).
Afternoon sessions are from 1pm until 6pm (with optional lunch from 12.3pm to 1pm at additional cost).
Full day sessions include lunch and run from 7.30am until 6pm.
School day sessions for children who have siblings attending St Peter Chanel Primary School: 8.30am until 3.30pm including lunch.
How to Apply
To apply for a place:
Complete our Pre-School Application Form.
Submit the form and provide the following original documents to the School Office::
Your child’s Birth Certificate or Passport
Proof of address (e.g. Council Tax bill or tenancy agreement)
Oversubscription Criteria
If the number of applications exceeds available places, we will apply our oversubscription criteria:
1. ‘Looked After’ children (‘Looked After’ means any child in the care of a Local Authority or provided with accommodation by them).
2. Application from older Pre-School children (age priority).
3. Children with siblings currently attending our Pre-School.
4. Children with Special Needs supported by evidence, at the time of application, from their GP, Health Visitor or Social Worker.
5. Those living nearest to the Pre-School (distance will be measured from the main entrance of the Pre-School according to the shortest walking route using public highways and lighted footpaths). The Local Governors Committee is responsible for all admission decisions.
